Perris Valley Airport Cat

Hello, I am the Perris Valley Airport Cat. I like to hang out around the on site restaurant. I'm very friendly. I like pets and scritches. Please come visit me. My airport is a great place for a day trip from L.A. You can watch the sky divers, visit the Southern California Railway Museum, and have dinner and a drink at the Bombshelter Restaurant.

I have a good life here. Plenty of space to roam around and no cars. I am fed and all my basic needs are met. My only gripe is that the majority of the human visitors are here to jump out of airplanes. I know it's hard to believe, but they don't give me as much attention as I would like. I'm always happy when Sweet Slinky comes to see me. For her, I am the main attraction.

The Cat Joy Project was conceived in lat 2024 when I found myself feeling overwhelmed by a sense of doom and gloom. I needed to refocus my attention. And so the idea of creating quilted cat squares as a way to share my love of cats, walking, and Los Angeles was born. After spending the latter part of 2024 and the first month of 2025 teaching myself to sew the project was now ready to be launched. The hand sewn quilted squares are released around L.A. and beyond for someone to find. Each square represents a cat that I have met. Every cat has a story. If you find a cat square you may keep it or relocate it to be found again. I hope this small gesture will bring some joy and happiness to those who find the cats and those who follow their stories. If you found a square, pleas leave a comment to let me know. Thank you!
