Sweet Slinky Walking in L.A.

  Hello, my name is Simba and I live in Atwater Village. I met Sweet Slinky on a Wednesday morning in November of 2023. She was walking with a few of her friends. They all seemed a little sad so I greeted them with leg rubs and let them pet me. I think I cheered them up a bit. My neighborhood is lovely and worthy of a visit. You can wander around on your own or you can follow Sweet Slinky's walking route:  Atwater Village Map . There are lots of shady residential streets with charming houses and, if you're lucky, you might meet me or other local kitties. You can stroll along the river where you'll find some bridges that are just for pedestrians. One is even for horses. That's right, horses! In L.A.! You can also get a bite to eat and pick up some wine and eggs. If you like movies you can recreate a scene from a famous one that was filmed at the end of my street. Atwater Village Strolling around Atwater Village on a sunny day is like a mini-vacation without leaving the city. This walk crosses three pedestrian bridges over the Los Angeles river and meanders through the charming bungalow lined neighborhood streets. There are many choices along the way for food and drink. La Villa Cafe on Chevy Chase is a good mid-way stop with outdoor seating. If you want to wait until the end of the walk head over to Lupita's Tamales on San Fernando.
