Powell Cat
Hello, I am Powell Cat. The UCLA campus was my home from 2015 until I took my final nap in March of 2023. During my stay I was a friend to any student who missed their pets and needed some furry companionship. I was loved and cared for, so much so that hundreds of people attended my memorial service and a lovely statue commemorating me was recently installed in Kerckhoff Hall. Sweet Slinky was lucky enough to spot me one day as I was sunbathing on the steps of Kaufman Hall. She mistakenly assumed that I was feral and did not try to approach me for fear of scaring me off. I was sad that she didn't get a chance to pet me. I loved pets and cuddles from all humans, even those not associated with UCLA. I'm delighted to see that I have inspired one of her coveted cat squares. I hope that it will bring joy to the human that finds it.
